Tennis: Can Roger Federer turn his game around before the French Open?

Roger Federer is mired in a slump. The 12-time Grand Slammer, who is two majors away from tying Pete Sampras' record haul, hasn't reached a tournament final this year - his worst start since 2000.
But the clay season is upon us (arguably his worst surface) and with the lone Slam missing from his case, the French Open, right around the corner the top-ranked baller is looking for help.
In an effort to turn around his season the Swiss stylist announced that veteran coach and former player Jose Higueras would be working with him during the Estoril Open. Federer wrote about the decision on his website saying,
I am also excited as I have asked Jose Higueras, one of the most respected and accomplished coaches in the world of tennis, to join me. Jose has coached many of the games great players including former #1 Jim Courier and Michael Chang. We are going to spend the week together to see if we could make a good team.
Will Higueras be able to get Federer on track towards the elusive French Open crown in May? Stay tuned.

Federer has to play on clay with controlled aggression. A bit more topspin on the forehand (done with a slight turn of the grip on his racquet). And he can't give up too much court by standing 8 to 10 feet BEHIND the baseline. Higueras is a great tennis mind and a great start to getting Federer French Open title #1.
