Waterpolo: QUAC is back with medals in hand!

Quac17 The men and women of the Queer Utah Aquatic Club (QUAC) water polo teams returned from competing at the International Gay and Lesbian Aquatic Championships (IGLA 2008) in Washington, D.C. and have two medals to show for it.

The QUAC "A" team proved to be one of the powerhouse teams of the competition, making it all the way to the finals. In a close and electrifying match against the West Hollywood Aquatics (WH2O), QUAC swam hard but was eventually edged out by WH2O and received the silver.

Making their IGLA debut, the QUAC women's water polo team had a respectable first showing, finishing third in their division.

Congratulations to the QUACs and to all IGLA competitors!

Check out a few more photos dav.d took of competition after the jump!
